Aligarh, November 27: Demonstrating its commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery in Western Uttar Pradesh, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University, marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of 10 new dialysis machines, a state-of-the-art endoscopy suite, and the newly developed main entrance of the Radiodiagnosis Department. The facilities were inaugurated by AMU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Naima Khatoon, highlighting the present administration’s focus on continuous growth, quality care, and patient-centric reforms.

The event witnessed the presence of Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. M. Mohsin Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Mohammad Khalid, Principal and CMS Prof. S. Amjad Ali Rizvi, Additional MS Prof. Wasif Mohammad Ali, Chairman of the Department of Medicine Prof. Khwaja Saifullah Zafar, and Chairman of the Department of Radiodiagnosis Prof. Mehtab Ahmad, and Incharge of the Nephrology Section Prof. Mohd. Aslam along with faculty members, department heads, and DMS officials.

After inaugurating the facilities, the Vice-Chancellor inspected the proposed site for a new special ward block to ease the persistent shortage of dedicated patient wards. She reaffirmed that JNMC has consistently delivered high-quality medical services and that these upgrades reflect the administration’s resolve to expand cutting-edge healthcare for the region.
Principal and CMS Prof. S. Amjad Ali Rizvi highlighted that the new dialysis systems will increase the hospital’s capacity to nearly 50 dialysis procedures per day, significantly reducing waiting time for patients with renal ailments. He added that the newly established endoscopy suite will provide comprehensive endoscopy and colonoscopy services. He further outlined that the planned special ward block will be a three-storey facility, featuring 18 rooms on each floor.

Additional MS Prof. Wasif Mohammad expressed appreciation for the Vice-Chancellor’s leadership, noting that under the current administration, JNMC continues to experience steady progress, with upgraded facilities directly contributing to improved patient outcomes and enhanced healthcare delivery.
